Signs of Solidarity is an unprecedented citywide public art project in opposition to hate and divisiveness. SOS ATL is a reaction to what appears to be a global shift towards fear and exclusivity. We refuse to accept the normalization of divisiveness and the hate it breeds. As the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement, we will stand against hate and any variations that perpetuate this issue. We recognize that Atlanta’s diverse community of artists, activists, nomads, and social educators will enable our global metropolis to thrive in empowering pathways. We vocalize our mission as a unified cohort who will continue to express love and inclusivity amidst our community at large. This project was inspired by Signs of Solidarity Philadelphia and made possible with the support of Grant's grant & Notch8 Gallery.Organizers:Signs of Solidarity ATL is an impassioned collaborative effort of over 30 Atlanta arts organizations, artists, writers, poets, and creatives with the permission and coordination of dozens of local building and business owners across the city of Atlanta.
